Hello!

Welcome to my digital portfolio.

I have been a journalist since 2014 and have experience reporting for print, digital and television media across six newsrooms and three states. At present, I am the Managing Editor of News Nation, a national TV network launched in 2020 with the goal of providing Americans with just the facts — unbiased news in a deeply polarized time. Before that, I was Managing Editor at Lookout Santa Cruz, a digital-only news startup that sought to change the landscape of local news.

In 2019, I was the recipient of the South Asian Journalists Association Reporting Fellowship which allowed me to publish a 12-part series on the immigration issues faced by South Asian women in Texas. The series, called Living in Limbo, was published in May 2020.

I’ve also previously worked at KXAN-TV in Austin and the Houston Chronicle where I was part of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize finalist team for Breaking News and part of the winning team for the 2018 TAPME Star Awards for Best Online Live Coverage for the Chronicle’s work during Hurricane Harvey.

My focus and area of expertise are in telling in-depth, multimedia stories on a digital platform that transcend traditional storytelling with interactive elements.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have questions or would like to collaborate.
